Schools Collaborate on Inspiring Art Workshop
Equinox announces the successful completion of a collaborative Art workshop involving all three of its schools.
Over the course of the last two days, primary pupils from Whitelands Park and Francis Baily primary schools, (led by Art & Design staff from Kennet School), came together to participate in a dynamic Art workshop focused on exploring texture through clay. Together, they crafted over 120 clay tiles, each a testament to their creativity and collaboration.
Pupils delved into the intricacies of texture, learning about the differences between indenting and relief texture and applying these newfound skills to their clay creations. The workshop provided an invaluable opportunity for pupils to express themselves artistically while fostering teamwork and camaraderie across schools.
The clay tiles created during the workshop will be transported back to Kennet School, where they will undergo glazing and firing before being showcased as part of the upcoming Art Exhibition on 18 July. This exhibition will not only celebrate the talent and hard work of the pupils but also highlight the power of collaboration within the Equinox Learning Trust.
"We were incredibly impressed with the amazing work produced by the pupils during this collaborative Art workshop," said Mrs Naomi Martin, Art Teacher at Kennet School. "It's inspiring to see how pupils from different schools can come together, share ideas, and create something truly beautiful. We look forward to future opportunities for our Trust’s schools to collaborate and continue to create art that inspires and captivates."
The Equinox Learning Trust remains committed to fostering collaboration and excellence across its member schools, providing enriching experiences that empower pupils to reach their fullest potential.
